Governor's Consulting Committee on the National Register of Historic Places

Carries out duties delegated to the state following passage of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
Governor's Commission on Maryland Military Monuments

Brings military, historical, business, and government expertise to help protect and care for monuments to Marylanders.
Maryland 250 Commission

Charged with creating the most inclusive commemoration in state history — a statewide observance that recognizes all Marylanders’ journeys toward life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Maryland Advisory Committee on Archaeology

Advises and assists MHT archaeologists and reviews policies, plans, rules, and regulations concerned with archaeological matters.
Maryland Geographic Names Authority

Responsible for coordinating place-naming activity between local, state and federal agencies.
Maryland Heritage Areas Authority

An interagency body that oversees the Maryland Heritage Areas Program.
