Board of Trustees
The Maryland Historical Trust (MHT) is led by a 15-member Board of Trustees. The Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House (or their designees) all serve on the board, and the Governor appoints the remaining 12 members.
At least two board members must have advanced training in archaeology. One of them must have experience working with underwater (submerged) archaeology, and one must have experience with land-based (terrestrial) archaeology.
Each board member serves a four-year term.
